How to take care of scratching posts
How to take care of your newly purchased scratching post, or how to properly behave around the scratching post to make it last as long as possible.
If you have a lot of space in your heart for many cats, remember that one small scratching post will be insufficient for 5 cats.
Regularly trim your cats' claws, as the scratching post primarily serves to "release scratching energy," preventing your couch or curtains from suffering.
Keep the scratching post dry, as moisture shortens its lifespan. It also helps to occasionally remove dirt from the scratching post using a regular vacuum cleaner, ensuring it remains appealing to a clean cat.
Keep it out of reach of children. Small pieces of cardboard can detach during use. Therefore, we recommend having an adult present during playtime to prevent the animal from swallowing small parts.
