Help for Abandoned and Abused Cats - Dočasky De De, z.s.

At the ForPets fair in Prague, we supported the organization Dočasky De De, z.s., which helps abandoned and abused cats, by donating a total of 14 scratching posts! Thank you for making it possible for us to help!

 

We were deeply touched by the story of a Thai tomcat diagnosed with ocular FIP

... and that’s why we decided to help him! From each sale of our first Mystery Box, we contributed 350 CZK, and then we rounded up the total amount to 5,000 CZK, which we sent to CHS’s account. If you haven’t come across his story yet, we’re sharing it below:

 

 

Friends, I'm reaching out to the power of Facebook and the solidarity of cat lovers.

I've always tried to help others, but this time, I'm the one asking for help. Life sometimes throws unexpected challenges our way. Sometimes we can handle them alone without burdening others. But sometimes, it’s just too much for one person. That’s why I’m reaching out with this post. It’s not easy for me to ask, but this isn't about me—it’s about the life of a cat that has already been through so much.

Many of you know that I care for several cats from Ukrainian breeders who have found themselves in extremely difficult personal and breeding situations, unable to keep their beloved pets with them.

Unfortunately, on July 15, 2024, one of these cats was diagnosed with FIP (ocular type). Without hesitation, the necessary tests were carried out, and treatment was immediately started. However, this specialized and costly treatment is being fully funded by me alone, as the cat’s owner has no means or opportunity to cover the expenses.

The estimated cost of treatment is:

CZK 63,781 (€2,525)

This amount covers:

• Antiviral injections

• Antiviral tablets

• Antibiotics (Synulox, Loxicom, Hepatiale Forte)

• Four veterinary clinic visits, tests, and ultrasound exams

• Four trips of 370 km each to a specialist"

There is never enough help for our silent darlings.

... and that's why we have decided to once again donate a portion of the proceeds from your orders to a shelter that gives cats a new hope. This time, it is Mrs. Kocurová's shelter in Bohumín. You can find more information about this shelter on their website - www.kockybohumin.cz.

We have helped the KasProCats organization.

Thanks to your orders, we have once again managed to raise sufficient funds and can now assist another organization dedicated to the well-being of cats.

This time, we have decided to support and contribute to the KasProCats association and their sterilization program.
